The Beaches of Scoglitti

The beaches of Scoglitti extend along two sides of the coast. To the east, in the direction of Marina di Ragusa, lies the Kamarina Riviera, while the Gela Riviera stretches westwards towards Gela.

The coastline is mainly characterised by wide beaches of fine sand, gently sloping waters and long stretches of public beach, which are particularly popular during the summer.

The beaches of Scoglitti are suitable both for families and for visitors looking for a relaxing day by the sea. Their long sandy shores, public beaches and shallow waters close to the shore make this part of the Ragusa coastline an attractive seaside destination in south-eastern Sicily.

Gela Riviera

The Gela Riviera extends west of the centre of Scoglitti and continues for several kilometres towards Gela. It features a long stretch of sand, extensive public beach areas and generally shallow waters close to the shore.

Kamarina Beach

On the eastern side lies Kamarina Beach, also known as the Kamarina Riviera. This stretch of coastline takes its name from the ancient Greek city founded nearby and is characterised by golden sand, dunes and the mouth of the Ippari River.

A short distance from the beach, visitors can explore the Kamarina Archaeological Museum, which houses archaeological finds and important evidence of the ancient Greek city.

Continuing along the coast towards Marina di Ragusa, you will reach Randello Beach, a protected area characterised by dunes, Mediterranean vegetation and a long stretch of golden sand.
